Develop solutions to complex problems requiring regular use of ingenuity, creativity, and technical expertise. Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-
depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration skills by proactively working with other members of the engineering staff to coordinate cross functional activities and demonstrate an aptitude for managing risk by identifying risks, developing and leading mitigation plans.
Ensure design excellence by confirming compliance to the mechanical engineering design process and documented best practices and will support the maintenance and enhancement of those practices.
Design parts for high-volume production, ease of assembly, and cost.
Demonstrate excellent customer management skills and interface with internal and external customer to evaluate, communicate, and negotiate technical information, including delivering comprehensive design reviews.
Perform thermal, strain, and other measurements on prototype parts to prove out design choices.
Create complex parts and assemblies in NX and work with internal and external resources on detailed part design and drawing creation.
Provide problem identification and solution support from the concept stage of a new product through production manufacturing.
Assess the soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, projects and equipment.
Manage the schedule for new mechanical components, cost, and design details to ensure on time delivery and successful completion of all project milestones.
Contribute to the evaluation of suppliers and supplier capabilities to ensure materials and supplier process capabilities meet quality, cost, and timing objectives.
The Engineer will be expected to remain abreast of current industry, supplier, and technology advancements to ensure company's products remain marketable and competitive.
