Position : Latin America Commerce Demand Planner

Location : Latin America (Mexico / Colombia)

This position :

  • leads the demand planning process and serves as a core team member to support the Hardware Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process with a focus on the Retail and Hospitality Industries in Latin America.
  • is responsible for driving the demand planning cycle and leading monthly demand consensus meetings to include generation of a base statistical forecast.
  • will interface with members of Sales, Industry Solutions Group, Product Management, Finance, and Hardware Operations to communicate the Demand Plan at multiple levels to drive our Operating Plan as well as support key metrics and overall business results.
  • is responsible for managing the S&OP forecasting process to develop a consensus-based demand plan reflecting the most likely forward projections.
  • Key Areas of Responsibility :

    Assemble and analyze demand plans by driving monthly planning cycles off market information and statistical forecasts working with Sales, Operations, Finance and Solutions Management to obtain the necessary customer and product information using Oracle’s forecasting tool.

    Analyze customer and product trends resulting from demand plan to recommend adjustments to inventory targets and develop the appropriate longer term capacity plan.

    Lead the analytics of the Demand Plan to the Revenue forecast by highlighting gaps and variances that will ensure the Sales and Operations plans are interlocked.

    Lead the monthly Interlock (Handshake) calls with the Sales and Hardware Operations team to gain alignment, highlighting gaps to plan or outlook and any risks or issues.

    Participate in weekly / ad hoc meetings with Operations / Supply Planning to provide a status update on consumption of the demand plan and actions to ensure plant / supplier capacity and material plans are optimized based on the latest order forecast position

    Support the S&OP / IBP process as needed and serve as a subject matter expert for value chain applications to ensure best practices are deployed in new process and technology solutions.

    Promote the importance of effective demand planning with Sales, leveraging the sales tool, Salesforce.com to highlight trends, key results and compile root cause analyses to drive process improvement actions

    Basic Qualifications

    BA / BS Degree with minimum of 2+ years of experience in a Supply Chain, Finance, or related profession, including : Demand Planning, Sales Operations, Financial Planning, and / or Inventory Management.

    Experience with and working knowledge of forecasting / demand planning systems.

    Working knowledge of S&OP / SIOP / IBP processes.

    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate and collaborate across the organization.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Masters in Business Administration / Supply Chain preferred.

    SQL and Access data management skills preferred.

    Professional training or certifications such as APICS, ISM, CPSM, CPM, etc. are preferred.

  • Experience in a Six Sigma / Lean environment preferred.
  • Skill Requirements

    Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Verbally fluent in Spanish.

    Confident and friendly demeanor and able to adapt to different cultures to ensure effective virtual team working.

    Work effectively with stakeholders at different levels in the organization.

    Organize, prioritize, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

    Flexible approach to managing monthly workload peaks to ensure commitments are met recognizing different region time zones when working within a global team.

    Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel advanced functions and being able to manipulate large volumes of data quickly and summarize effectively.

    Strong analytical capability, using data to drive improvement actions.
