With tremendous market success in our Cloud Applications, especially in ERP Cloud, Higher Ed institutions have expressed unprecedented interest in embarking on a cloud adoption journey with Oracle. Student Systems, a critical functional area to compete in our SaaS footprint for Higher Ed, is a top investment priority for Oracle.

This role is for a Business Analyst is to become a Student Cloud product expert, working closely with both internal teams (e.g., product strategy, product management, development, UX, marketing, internal sales reps, consultants, development etc.) and external audiences (e.g., customers, industry analysts, system integrators/partners, etc.) to ensure the success of the Student Cloud product and our customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop product documentation, including suggested implementation best practices, white papers, knowledge transfer articles, and FAQs.
  • Research and testing for existing functionality (customer scenarios, customer bug reports, demo scenarios)
  • Solution engineering for current product and use of ancillary technology, as possible (recommend work-arounds for implementing customers); prep Outbound team for interaction with EAP customers
  • Research new requirements, regulations, standards, Oracle tech and apps functionality that impacts our customers
  • Contribute to Strategy documentation and deliverables for new requirements
  • Assist PM team with research results, customer focus group support (demos, prep)

  • Student Financials knowledge (student account, tuition and fee calculation options, payment options, support for third party payers or sponsors, tax expertise, GL integration, global payment options) is a plus
  • Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

    As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

    Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
