Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage all accounting function
Strengthen internal control over financial reporting; Reconcile balance sheet and analyze accounts for unusual transaction
Prepare end of the month closing and production reports; interact with all the departments to ensure the accuracy of cost and other financial information;
monitor all key financial transactions
Conduct periodic inventory checks to ensure that inventory is properly being measured against monitor inventory
Provide financial analysis support to management, such as analyzing the cost of a new product; analyze the product, client, and territory margins;
conduct other analysis as administered
Handle customer credit, collection, and reimbursement programs; assist with contracts and general purchases
Manage department personnel issues, such as evaluations, training, performance problems and hiring
Enforce and comply with all GMP / HACCP safety standards and regulations. Attend or organize safety meetings as necessary
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities :
Participate in the preparation of the annual budget
Manage capital accounts, files, and reports
Assist in annual audits
Review and maintain assets of the company
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Strong communication and writing skills
Interpersonal skills; must be capable of managing and training a team
Extensive experience in Microsoft Applications like Excel and Word, as well accounting platforms
Education and Work Experience :
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the agricultural industry
Previous supervisory experience
Personal Protective Experience :
The role generally works in an office environment, however, when visiting the farm / packing facilities this role will be required to use appropriate food safety and workers safety equipment such as hearing protection, hairnet, helmet, smock, etc.
as required by the location.
