Credit Portfolio Group Manager


  • Coordinate activities of MME and SME CLU Credit Analysts and Credit Officers to ensure efficient credit process, fast turnaround times, assigning credit relationships or new credit transactions to unit’s teams in order to facilitate timely and appropriate credit approvals.
  • Support MME and SME Credit Analysts and Credit Officers in terms of credit risk assessment and transaction structuring.
  • Supervise credit decision execution in terms of "follow ups" and additional credit requirements set by Credit Approvers and supervision of timely submission of credit packages and related documents to Credit Approvers.
  • Coordinate and co-operate with Sales and Independent Risk Management, to establish priorities for MME and SME Credit Analysts and Credit Officers in terms of processing annual credit reviews and new transactions.
  • Provide guidance to MME and SME Credit Analysts and Credit Officers and become a point of reference for teams on interpretation, application and compliance to Global Commercial Credit Policies.
  • Take part in analysis and assessment of MME and SME credit applications.
  • Lending Process Management

  • Maintain strong focus on turnaround time (TAT) to improve Client experience and minimize adverse selection.
  • Make recommendations to seniors to improve credit processes.
  • Encourage a risk differentiated approach to achieve efficient underwriting and lower TAT.
  • Manage implementation of critical credit systems such as CitiRisk and CRM.
  • Manage Post Loan Approval Reviews, Management Control Assessments.
  • Partner with Independent Risk and Business (Sales) in Internal Audit and FCR reviews.
  • Staffing & Development

  • Sets appropriate goals and provides timely feedback, coaching, training and challenging assignments to motivate staff and drive superior performance.
  • Attracts and retains good quality talent from inside or outside the Bank as required.
  • Trains, develops and coaches team members to become good Credit Officers and serve as a talent pool for CCB CLM, Independent Risk, Sales and coverage teams.
  • In Business Credit Authority

  • Ensures a complete, well documented, accurate and balanced assessment of risk in credit approvals.
  • Understand company s financial aptitude and risk appetite / tolerance.
  • Ensures that proposed transactions and extensions of credit are consistent with Client relationship profile.
  • Ensures clear communication among the Sales, Risk Management and the Client.
  • Ensure a complete, accurate and balanced assessment of the company.
  • Commit to constantly monitor obligors.
  • Accountable for Portfolio Quality and appropriate profitability.
  • Review and approve appropriate extension of credit performance, including timely and appropriate classification of facilities.

    Demonstrated knowledge of intermediate accounting and its practical application in the credit underwriting process. Broad based experience in structuring bilateral credit agreements.

    Managerial Experience (if applicable) Supervisory experience (2-5 years) Experience with people management (preferred). Other Experience (Technical, etc.

    Developing professional (2-5 years experience) In Business Credit Authority is mandatory. If not granted before assuming the position should be granted within 12 months.
