    Division summary

    Customer Success contributes to our efforts to enhance and transform the Calypso customer experience via a client-centric approach (building and maintaining relationships, proactively identifying potential crises that may detrimental to the user experience, meeting and exceeding client expectations).

    Thus, helping to differentiate Calypso and contributing to the growth of our business. Customer Success is composed of several organizations (Customer Delivery, Cloud Services, Calypso Learning Services, Customer Support, and Customer Success Management) that manage the customer’s journey at Calypso.

    The America’s customer delivery center (CDC) is our newest office in Calypso and is tasked with providing expert delivery resources across project management, consultancy, and implementation to all of our clients in the Americas.

    We are looking to add more talent to the growing team.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Post-Sales Technical Consultant with relevant work experience in the capital markets or at a financial software company.

    Responsibilities

  • In-depth, hands-on involvement directly with customers implementing the Calypso system.
  • Work directly with the customer project team implementing the Calypso system and assist them in implementing their users’ requirements.
  • The technical consultant will then typically follow up with the users to test the implementation, achieve signoff, and continue to move the system toward go-live.
  • Assist developers in understanding the API required to extend the Calypso system, add data to the Calypso system, and build interfaces between Calypso and external systems.
  • Train users and customer developers on the basic use of the system, particularly with the technical setup.
  • System installation, including Java JRE download and installation, relational database installation, data model installation and upgrade scripts, setup and configuration of event-driven framework, configuration of real-time market data feed, etc.
  • Work hands on with the system, configuring it and testing that it meets the customer’s technical requirements.
  • Work with Calypso business analysts, Calypso core development, or customer development to code prototypes of enhancements to ensure they will meet business requirements.
  • Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in systems or technical analysis, preferably in the capital markets industry with software including Java, Swing, JDBC, RMI, J2EE, Linux, Sybase, XML
  • Strong GUI and server-side development
  • Excellent object-oriented analysis, design & development skills
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL including working experience with Sybase and / or Oracle
  • Preference for domain experience in developing or implementing software in support of any or all of the following asset classes : credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, equity derivatives, fixed income, or FX.
  • Experience designing / building front-to-back capital markets trading systems will be especially valuable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on educating and training customers, and patience will be key to success.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, as required, across the Americas
  • Business level of English is required

    Mexico City office is the newest office opened by Calypso, opened in late 2019 and growing fast. We’re located on the 7th floor, Regus place at Napoles, which has a characteristic that highlights the architecture of the localization.
