Summary and Scope

The primary goal of the Optimization Specialist is to uncover inefficiencies in the digital marketing accounts of current and potential clients, and help develop strategies to optimize the accounts.

The Optimization Specialist will join the Solutions Engineering team, which is the junction between the media, sales, and account management teams, and will help synthesize the latest strategies from those teams to distinguish Rise from its competitors and boost the performance of Rise’s current clients.

Success in this role opens doors to a number of exciting career paths in critical agency functions such as sales, media strategy, account management, and more.

The Optimization Specialist role includes but is not limited to the following key areas of activity :

1. In-depth auditing of digital marketing accounts across all channels

2. Development of insights and proposed optimizations to combat inefficiencies

3. Support of sales proposals, presentations, and account plans


  • Examine and audit the digital marketing accounts of both potential and current clients to uncover inefficiencies
  • Collaborate with the Digital Strategy ( DS ), Channel, and Account Management Teams to determine and manage strategy for optimizing digital marketing accounts, develop winning value propositions, and determine solutions tailored to the needs of potential and current clients that differentiate Rise from the competition, including integrated marketing innovations arising out of Rise’s relationship with Quad
  • Leverage Rise’s proprietary Connex technology to surface insights and recommended optimizations
  • Develop customized solutions for potential and current clients
  • Become thought leader and strategist across all Rise services
  • Build relationships with other thought leaders at Rise, and incorporate cross-channel learnings and strategies into solutions
  • Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Rise’s service and technology offerings (e.g., channel strategies, Connex, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills required
  • Demonstrate creative thinking by exploring non-obvious sources of inefficiency in digital marketing accounts and proposing new solutions
  • Excellent quantitative skills to analyze the performance of existing Internet marketing campaigns and foresee the effectiveness of proposed tactics
  • Strong problem-resolution, including the ability to think creatively in the development of ideas / solutions that will contribute value in a dynamic, client-centered environment
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and business acumen with a focus on innovative client solutions
  • Superb attention to detail and excellent writing skills
  • Strong capabilities with marketing analytics platforms as well as with Word, Powerpoint, Excel and corresponding Google apps
  • Ability to articulately present internally and externally
  • Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity, and independently solve problems
  • Deeply familiar with and passionate about marketing and business trends
  • 2-4 Years of business experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
