Detailed Description : First full level of specialization; applies expertise in more than one area of specialization. Work is performed within established professional standards, established policy, and / or established objectives.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Incumbents are accountable for quality of work delivered by external suppliers as applicable.

May influence others outside of team to ensure goals are met and resolves conflicts in an effective manner. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the site’s / major function's operations, schedules, and / or performance goals.

Receives guidance primarily on unique, unusual, or controversial problems or questions. May lead a work group or project team consisting of one or more support staff and / or tech / professional staff with some coaching from own supervisor, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty.

Seeks out new avenues for building internal and external relationships; maintains contacts with existing relationships. Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following : Develops, documents, maintains and improves development and test processes and procedures.

Responsible for understanding and implementing the customer’s technical roadmap and related development projects. Understands and provides feedback on customer’s technical requirements to team members.

Adheres to the development schedule provided by high level experts. Responsible for implementing processes using DFM / DFT input with the goal of reducing manufacturing cost and improving quality and reliability of product.

Provides data to assist with reporting yield, reliability and cost comparisons of various options. Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce manufacturing complexity.

Ensures timely transfer of product documentation / information in support of product / process changes. Ensures accurate and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues.

Works as a team member to resolve issues related to processes, may recommend alternative solutions and implement final recommendations.

Knowledge / Skills / Competencies :

Detailed Description : Knowledge / Skills / Competencies :

  • Desing / Modeling Programs as : Autocad, Solid Works, Master Cam, Catia as plus.
  • CNC Programs as : Master Cam, AP100, any bending software as a plus.
  • Engineering Foundation Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the design process, manufacturing processes and equipment used for Machining, forming, subassemblies, or other related company products.
  • Savings projects experience as SMED, productivity, material changes, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry and quality standards and SPC methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of material science, robotics, machine programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of product pricing, contracts and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Good presentation, database management and computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical process control methods and techniques.
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Strong knowledge of IT platforms, database design and programming languages in appropriate areas.
  • Strong knowledge of some or all of the following : UNIX, NT, database management system.
  • Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problems.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and coordinate problem resolution.
  • Experience in coaching Engineering resources.
