Identify the areas of opportunity in the fab shop where the flow, the product, the machines, the process and / or people are not meeting customer requirements.
The use and knowledge of analytical tools such as Takt Time / Cycle Time analysis, SPC, first and second level pareto, DOE, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA is essential.
Make cost analysis related to the manufacturing opportunities in the shop and brainstorm potential solutions
Work together with the Lean engineers to evaluate VSM to reduce waste
Evaluate the need for new equipment and or spare parts of current equipment to comply with the quality requirements of the operation.
Evaluation of spare parts and equipment quotes from vendors to identify the best solution to our fabrication needs
Work together with the maintenance engineers to contribute to the plans of preventive and predictive maintenance of machines.
Develop written standard operative procedures for all processes in the FAB shop
Work together with NPI team to assure all written standard operative procedures are ready before the startup of new equipment.
Lead the preparations for layouts and detailed drawings that will eventually assist in improving the flow or products
Assure the complete list of consumable spare parts is on hand and ready to use for the purchasing department, along with the necessary budgetary information for the specific area of the engineer’s work scope
Lead the tool room operations of the facility through effective budgetary analysis and priority tools.
We are looking for a candidate with Bachelor s degree in Engineering
