The Strategic Buyer Report directly to the Procurement Team Leader. Is the main contact with the Stakeholders regarding Strategic Purchasing function.

Contribute to the Stakeholders Goals and look for new opportunities within their SBG.

Review and negotiate Improvements of : Lead Time with suppliers, Safety Stocks, MOQ’s, and put them in the contracts.

Be a Strong negotiator by reviewing and improving Prices with vendors, in order to increase the Working Capital for HON.

Analyze and negotiate better Payment Terms & Lead Time with vendors, to increase the Working Capital for HON.

Collaborate with sourcing to add off-contract parts to contract, as applicable, to increase contract penetration.

Train a local member of HON Mexico to make a Back up in an event of absenteeism, vacation, or retire in a tactical and operational way.

Preserving team service level as primary objective and minimizing impact to customer and stakeholders.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor in International Business / Management / International relations or Engineering related field.

Strong SAP Knowledge.

Planning, negotiations and agreements / contract management experience.

Business English.

Significant experience professional on supply chain, procurement or sourcing fields, working with Direct materials OEM Industrial manufacturer, connected with a global or international organizational environment.

Strong and demonstrated procurement experience for Direct Purchasing materials of next commodities : Electronics, plastics, stampings, hardware, metals, all of them related to HON business.

Lead Saving Projects : VMI, Kanban, Reduction of LT’s, Safety Stocks, relocate materials, etc.

Knowledge of purchasing systems

Strong communication skills and a team player

Good organizational - ability to prioritize and do problem solving, fair amount of years of experience in a purchasing

English fluent, any other language is a plus

Planning, negotiations and agreements / contract management experience

Good technical knowledge of Procurement / sourcing
