JOB DESCRIPTION : IT Engineer

Location : Monterrey Branch 0921

The IT Engineer’s role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization.

The IT Engineer will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.

The IT Engineer will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

The IT Engineer will also define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.

Key Job Qualifications and essential duties :

Support in reporting and data analysis / updates (system generated Excel reports).

Collaborate with IT corporate in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost effective technology solutions

Administer ERP system (iScala). Knowledge of Navison (Microsoft) is an advantage.

Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment

Negotiate and administer IT vendors and review service agreements with Branch Manager

Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk, technical support services and provides advice to assist users

Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.

Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, printers, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment.

The IT Engineer should have the skills to drive solutions for hardware & network IT needs and also process and software development.

IT Engineer will be responsible for basic computer, software, and network troubleshooting and support.

Bilingual in Spanish and English

Other Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, strongly preferred

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Well-versed applying good IT manufacturing practices

Humble and hands on to perform by example

Positive attitude to drive for solutions and results

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills

Solid knowledge on software development

3+ years of progressive IT experience in manufacturing environments

Indispensable domain of :

PBX / VoIp

Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / Office 365 / Windows10

Networking

Active Directory

VPNs administration

ERPs (Epicor / iScala preffered)

SQL SERVER (projecting and programming)
