About the role

This Business Services Technical Analyst position covers the direct and broker Property Facultative. This is an Underwriting Support role.

The Technical Analyst will provide assistance to the local Facultative Underwriting team (direct and broker market) and provide support regarding tools, records management and processes.

Coordinate with client markets and related functions.

  • Data entry risk clearance, binding transactions, property certificates, endorsement issuance, and responsible for strong data quality.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support regarding pricing tools, internal systems, records management and processes for the business relationships in his / her area of responsibility
  • Supporting Underwriting team with ratings preparation
  • Assists in the planning and reporting process including data gathering and data entry
  • Enforces and maintains guidelines throughout all facultative risks including archiving and storage planning
  • Manages all Facultative Underwriting documentation, including scanning, physical filing and archiving
  • Work with other internal / external departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Ensure (external and internal) audit compliance
  • Develop expertise in multiple areas within the business unit
  • Contribute to process improvements
  • Provide informal guidance to developing peers
  • About You

  • University degree required
  • Re)insurance knowledge required
  • Property and Engineering knowledge desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office strong command of Excel required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and self-reliant task manager
  • Strong customer focus and service orientation
  • Ability to cope with changes in tasks and priorities
  • Ability and willingness to transfer knowledge and experience to colleagues
  • Ability to complete work independently or in cooperation with others on well defined tasks in a project and will define some tasks independently.
  • Demonstrates willingness to seek new knowledge and tasks, questions current processes, and able to suggest improvements
  • Understanding of Swiss Re business applications is a plus (GFS, LMS, RICH, COP)
  • Excellent command of English language
  • At least 2 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance industry required
