Summary of Role
The warehouse is a fundamental area in the success of our organization. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the proper functioning of the warehouse in general, being responsible from the reception of the goods until their correct delivery to customers.
In addition to the above, the Warehouse clerk performs the administrative acts involved in the management of the warehouse such as the use of JDE and the control of the evidence of delivery, and will also actively participate in the design and implementation of improvement plans.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Receive incoming goods.
Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.
Accurately sort, label, and store goods.
Arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.
Use of forklift
Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to orders.
Enter data into JDE to maintain up-to-date stock records.
Comply with JDE Trelleborg processes.
Responsible for generating invoices to customers using JDE.
Use of EDICOM invoicing program.
Responsible for follow up for all invoices to be correctly stamped in EDICOM.
Retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.)
Manufacture kits for three customers- SERVICE PLUS.
Update delivery data in customers web sites.
Coordinate operations of three warehouses.
Coordinate with customers the pickup of their material.
Inform the customers the details of their deliveries.
Provide shipment details in a monthly basis for customers with virtual pedimentos processes.
Keep the evidence of delivery by customers in shared files up-to-date.
Ensure that there is enough inventory to meet the organization’s needs and managing out-of-stock over-stocked products.
Monitor warehouse activities to ensure that goods are stored correctly and safely and warehouse space is used efficiently.
Responsible for the proper functioning of scales and warehouse equipment.
Monitor the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and protection of equipment and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization’s established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones;
updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.
Education and Experience
Four years degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum two years of experience in warehouse coordination.
Be able to communicate in English.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office and warehouse systems required.
Must have a driver's license.
Must be able to lift 30 kg frequently during the day.
