Responsibilities :

  • Manage Cepheid operating expenses within budget
  • Provide corporate representation and overall management of our LATAM North distribution partners on a national, regional, and field level covering the territory of Central America & Mexico.
  • Work with distribution partners to manage and grow Cepheid business in all healthcare markets including, but not limited to, regional and local reference laboratories, large multi-specialty clinics, women’s clinics, other physician office laboratories, community healthcare clinics, college and university student health centers, long term care facilities, STD clinics, urgent care / walk-in clinics, jails and prisons, public health laboratories, hospitals and free standing emergency departments.
  • Manage forecasting, pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Report results, ongoing issues, market insights, strategies, tactics, and feedback to peers and management.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with distributors.

  • Organize webinars, symposia, and workshops for both distributors and customers. Manage the use of sales aids and collateral.
  • Manage and coordinate introduction of new products.

  • Operate as a liaison between Channel Partners and Cepheid to define and streamline processes
  • Manage and coordinate introduction of new products
  • Manage conflict resolution as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Knowledge - Skills - and Abilities :

    The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of successful sales, sales management, and / or marketing experience within the healthcare industry, preferably in molecular diagnostics or microbiology, as well as a minimum of 2 years of previous distribution management in the region.

    A high acumen for revenue attainment, sales target achievement, and strategic sales planning is essential for this role.

    The current position will be located in Mexico and will be reporting to the LATAM Sales Director.

    Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent is required. Master of Sciences and Business Administration (MBA) highly appreciated.

    Internal Interaction with Cepheid pairs as finance, marketing, service, TSS team members, Customer Care and Regulatory Affairs Departments.

    External interaction with Distributors, Customers, local Government Officers.

    The individual must have strong management, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

    S / he must be a self-starter, intellectually agile, organized, possess and entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to capture the imagination of others to achieve their goals.

    Leadership and ability to interact with different players inside and outside organization.

    Availability to frequent travels around 60% of the time..
