SUMMARYAccountable for daily management, leadership, and oversight of the content production department processes and team (100 associates) that have direct impact on ability to attain $6.

  • 5B hard parts sales by; A) collecting, validating, gatekeeping, mapping, controlling, and administering automotive e-catalog content;
  • B) producing automobile parts e-catalogs, repair / marketing content, and decision making analytical data that are effective and efficient in terms of cost, time, accuracy, usability, product fitment, and retail chain service / sales;
  • C) ensuring content meets requirements, is available, on time, presentable, productive, and performing; and D) benchmarking, measuring, and monitoring content state / performance and driving improvement.

    Oversees and leads the coordination, communication, training, negotiation, escalation, and reporting with all the different content suppliers, processors, users, and managers internally and externally including alignment of cross-functional areas in remote locations (Product Vendor, Data Supplier, Content, DataZone, E-commerce, Merchandising, HR, IT, Facilities, Analysis, Pricing, Marketing, Legal, Customer Service, Store Operations, Supply Chain).

    Accountability for team leadership, communication, reporting, operational / organizational excellence, and project / logistics.

    Represent AZ Content internally and externally and champion AZ culture and values.


  • Technical leadership and process management (familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications, targets, development process, standards, techniques and tools to support task performance;
  • train team members in all aspects of the process; coordinate the review, presentation and release of process analysis, aids, training, and documentation;
  • assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team and perform;
  • assure that the team addresses all relevant issues within the specifications and standards; help keep the team focused and on track;
  • provide daily technical problem solving related to the activities of content collection, validation, evaluation, examination, acceptance, mapping, setting, tracing, control, and management as well as catalog interpretation, edition, translation, and display.

    Resolve complex or complicated inaccuracies, missing data or data unable to be verified. Debate key benefits and drawbacks of alternative content management and data entry methods, technologies and procedures.

    Create, review and report on data entry procedures and variances. Facilitate the adoption of best practices for data entry and content management.

    Develop, implement and communicate data access and dissemination policies and practices. Develop cost analyses of various types of data entry training, technology, and hiring.

    Develops and presents content knowledge workshops to vendors and merchandising teams.

  • Communication and reporting (enable, facilitate and manage vertical, horizontal, and diagonal communication; create opportunities for team members to provide input on procedures / processes and share their expertise with other team member;
  • provide status reporting of team activities against objectives / plan; keep onsite and offsite managers and liaisons informed of task accomplishment, issues and status;
  • serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams; escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team;
  • provide guidance to the team based on management direction).

  • Operational / Organizational excellence (provide continual evaluation of processes and procedures; suggest methods to improve operations, efficiency and service;
  • assists the manager with daily operations to include the research, development, analyses, documentation, and implementation of staffing, training, productivity, quality, scheduling and reward / recognition programs;
  • write and maintains process documentation and aids; keep production records and backups; establish work procedures and processes that support the company and departmental standards, procedures, and strategic directives;
  • actively participate and contribute to process improvement and tools / reporting / process design, definition, requirements, and testing;
  • supports and presents operating plan and process improvement ideas to management; develops and analyzes sales impact on display configurations that influence sales through visual interaction of the product data.

  • Project and logistics (coordinate with internal and external customers, users, suppliers, managers as well as company departments and functional areas;
  • work as a member / leader of special or ongoing projects; serve as meeting manager or chairman; initiate sub-groups or sub-teams as appropriate to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel;
  • ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements, cost and schedule; work with managers and sponsors to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements;
  • obtain and coordinate space, furniture, equipment, communication lines, resources, tools, and solutions for team members, make mission critical data management and display decisions).


    Level of Formal Education : A Master's degree (MA, MS, MBA) or equivalent.

    Area of Study : Engineering, automotive, mechanics, industrial, business, computer systems, information technology, communication, marketing.

    Years of Experience : Three to five years.

    Type of Experience : Automotive industry, auto-parts retail, data entry / analysis, content creation, product information management, personnel management, production / process management, business management.

    Experience working with product buyers, vendors, data providers, and retail chains.

    Special Certifications or Technical Skills : Proficient English language command, written and spoken; able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization and with external parties.

    Broad experience and knowledge of Automotive Content / Catalog / Product Information. Knowledgeable on automobiles and auto parts, preferably ASE certified.

    Proficient data processing and information systems management. MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, & Database. Availability to travel.

    USA Visa. Up to 20% travel, domestic & international.

    Other / Preferred : Superior leadership, presentation, communication, interpersonal, planning, project management, and organizational skills.

    Technical capacity & problem solving. Quick learning & retention. High attention to detail. Strategic thinker and good facilitator with strong analytical skills.
