Viavi Solutions is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with experience and passion for assisting customers via e-mail and phone.

This position will be a part of the Support & Maintenance team covering the Americas region and a successful candidate will be one who has experience with software / hardware support, possesses the ability to positively engage with customers and internal team, and has the passion for solving problems.

Job Description :

  • Provide application and technical support for our VIA systems, particularly Location Intelligence solutions. This includes : software application and / or hardware support, configuration and utilization guidance by email / telephone, remote access and diagnostics, and on-site visits as applicable.
  • Provide post-sales support and technical presentations remotely (via teleconferencing and web conferencing) and at customer sites.
  • Establish proactive and effective communication with customers and our local services team.
  • Records and transmit information clearly and detailed to customer and internal team.
  • Provides support to customer / users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
  • Qualifications :

  • Degree Telecommunications engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of UMTS / LTE call flow.
