Leadership and Management :

  • Act as the TCM Senior Lead within the TCM NGSC Mexico and become a true member of the team.
  • Role model as SR. Leader, mentor and supporting team members of own team and / or other teams.
  • Serve as a specialist for US regarding to policies and processes, drive efficiency and continuous improvement, process changes and leading practices to ensure efficient and effective execution of cash handling, cash forecasting, cash reconciliation and payment activities in the team.
  • Ownership over the given scope of service results towards the quality and accuracy of reporting and / or systems usability.
  • Coordinate, plan, review operations with in country partners, US Corporate Treasury team, and Group partners to ensure integration, efficiency / effectiveness of the operations as well as an excellent quality of communication.
  • Performance Management and Service Delivery :

  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance in running the TCM team for US.
  • Initiate definition of standard processes within TCM in collaboration with Global Process Owner team, agreeing and documenting exceptions.
  • Identify problem and trends and ensure that appropriate troubleshooting efforts are conducted for recurring problems until permanent solutions are implemented.
  • Initiate continuous improvement of services in quality and efficiency in close collaboration with line manager, peers and TCM process streams.
  • Manage transitions by supervising and managing project progress and critical deliverables such as knowledge transfer as per agreed timelines, whilst driving process alignment to standards.
  • Manage and supervise onboarding process for new associates.
  • Compliance

  • Ensure that all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully detailed, in line with Company standards (TCM Finance Core) and regularly benchmarked against standard methodologies.
  • Ensure and supervise execution of all activities in full compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure application of agreed Company control procedures and actively support to deliver SOX certification.
  • Support internal and external audits for US when
  • required.

  • University level degree in Business Administration / Economics / Finance or Chartered Accountant / MBA desirable
  • Lean / Six Sigma Certified preferred
  • Perfect English (written and spoken)
  • 6-8 years of financial experience, with in-depth functional expertise.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization.
  • SAP knowledge (FI).
  • In depth knowledge of Cash Management and Payment processes.
