Due to continuing success and expansion, Turner & Townsend are now looking for an experienced Project Planner to provide planning and scheduling services in Monterrey, Mexico.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of working on complex large scale Construction projects within Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical or similarly complex asset type.
Develop, maintain and monitor master project schedule, incorporating appropriate risk mitigations and contingency allowances
Integrate various contract packages into master project schedule
Review contractor’s submitted schedule for logic and completeness and make recommendations to client
Provide planning input to regular internal / external weekly and monthly progress report for management and client including progress measurement, earned value metrics, critical path status, status of long lead items, etc.
Provide input to Project Controls procedure for planning aspects to enable effective project progress monitoring
Interact with contractor and verify the project data to update project master schedule
Provide input to schedule mitigation plans
Support assessment of any contractor’s extension of time claims and provide schedule input to preparation of claim defence documentation.
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to project schedule, including preparation of scenarios for various outcomes.
Develop site logistic planning for the project
Prepare and propose micro-management’ schedules for critical elements of work
A minimum of 5 years scheduling / planning experience
Good knowledge and experience gained working on Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical or similarly complex types of assets
Knowledge and experience of the main design or project management concepts, tools and techniques and typical procurement routes.
Experience of working with General Contractors in a project management, or scheduling / planning capacity
Good understanding of the financial aspects of a project
Excellent working knowledge of MS Project is essential
Good working knowledge of Primavera P6 is desirable
