Provide technical Support for monitoring team who monitors the jobs running in Datastage through Control M.
Debug and Resolve any job failures in Datastage, Oracle and UNIX.
Ability to communicate with business on any issues reported with the data and do the root cause.
Ability to apply past knowledge to provide suggestion to improve quality of support.
Work collaboratively across enterprise to provide technology solutions / support services related to Datastage technology.
Debug any issues reported in Cognos Reports / Cubes with the help of backend sql queries.
Proactively identify potential problems and make recommendations for resolution.
Participate in technical discussions to improve processes and applications
Providing on-call support for multiple applications as and when needed.
Ability to apply operational processes that include best practices in administrative support and production support. Ensure all processes are properly documented, accurate and up-to-date
Technical Skills and Knowledge :
Data stage 8.5 / 8.7 / 9.1, UNIX, Oracle, Cognos 10 (5+ years)
Control M (2+ years)
Data stage Mapping, Shell Scripting, Knowledge on Support process
Knowledge in Data warehousing is must
At least 5+ years of experience in Data stage ETL tool required.
Latest 2+ years’ experience should be in data warehouse development.
Required good understanding in dimensional modeling.
Should be good in database concepts, sqls and unix shell scripting.
