Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve all potential retail store designs across Mexico to ensure consistency with design philosophy and standards while assisting the Global Head of Retail Store Design in evolving retail designs.
  • Drive updates and improvements to national standards through active engagement with internal Client business as well as through a robust project post mortem effort.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Retail and Consumer Business in Mexico
  • Partner with business clients to identify and resolve BAU issues, ascertain current and future requirements and execute projects under Global Guidelines
  • Ensure the branch environment is in alignment with the customer and systems to create an engaging environment to maintain / grow the retail business within the region
  • Translate strategic requirements into practicable tactics and designs
  • Oversee the management and construction of projects within region to ensure timescales, designs / specifications, quality and costs are achieved within approved parameters.
  • Ensure direct, indirect, outsourced facility management service providers and other vendors provide consistent, high-quality best in class services
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate and local standards and procedures related to design approval (construction, sanitary, fire and premises occupation requirements, including permits and concessions)
  • Work with governmental and nongovernmental jurisdictional authorities for permitting, design approval and construction implementation
  • Develop plans and budgets for review and approval
  • Develop requests for proposals for outside consultant, construction and various other outsourced vendor services
  • Assist on all aspects of design planning and engineering
  • Monitor actual schedule and costs against the project estimates. Report significant variances and develop corrective action plans.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Management team to develop comprehensive project plans based on approved funding. Project plans typically include : scope, schedule, cost, quality, roles and responsibilities, communication, staffing, risk and issue management.
  • Obtain commitment to the plans

  • Analyze bids and interview bidders evaluate qualifications
  • Ensure corporate Policies and guidelines are adhered to during the delivery process
  • Ensure proper documentation is utilized to demonstrate assessment of potential risk
  • Provide assistance and guidance for inspection and evaluation of prospective sites / buildings as part of due diligence exercises
  • Manage the sustainability strategy and ensure the best practices for green Retail building into design and construction projects
  • Oversee effective benchmarking programs including Energy Star and LEED Certification
  • Administer the LEED Retail Volume program and the LEED certification for new and relocated sites as part of Citi’s goal to LEED certify 15% of portfolio by YE 2015 and 33% of portfolio by YE 2020
  • Coordinate with Capital Projects, Real Estate, Finance, Strategy, Relocations and other CRS teams, as needed, to develop and complete projects
  • Review objectives, budgets and timelines to facilitate the approval of Capital Expenditure Proposals
  • Manage the financial budget of the portfolio (expense & capital)
  • Coordinate with Finance and outsourced facility management service providers to develop budgets and update forecast by identifying Risks and Opportunities
  • Required Skills

  • Strong sourcing expertise in working with store design, construction, fixtures, OFI and facilities. Retail architectural experience preferred.
  • Strong product knowledge : furniture, fabric, flooring, lighting, etc.
  • Strong team player with innate ability to build and maintain strong cross -functional relationships.
  • Proven ability to source complex initiatives for retail environments.
  • Active listening with the ability to translate direction into multiple options for approval.
  • Ability to understand store design and development goals, and translate them into effective sourcing strategy in partnership with corporate procurement.
  • Results oriented and data driven.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, goal oriented, and time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to lead and influence change in the face of complexity and ambiguity. Minimum Experience :
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive professional experience in retail or hospitality sourcing, specializing in FF&E and OFI category is desirable.
  • Experience in working in a dynamic retail environment with experience in advance sourcing strategies.
  • Translating regional specifications to ensure global partners can execute effortlessly.
  • Global experience in sourcing FFE and OFI a plus.
  • Bachelor degree in any career, it could be replaced by experience.
