Join us as an Operations Supervisor Securities Lending Settlements / Exposure Management

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an Operations Supervisor to join our Securities Lending team. The Operations Supervisor will coordinate closely with peers to ensure alignment of the product, and work closely with the Trading Desk, Relationship Managers and Borrowers in the market.

You will have direct supervision of two team members.

To be successful in this role, you must be adaptable to constantly changing client parameters and market conditions, possess a strong risk management background, exhibit poise under pressure and communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

Some of your key responsibilities include :

  • Ensuring daily output standards, both quality and timeliness, are met
  • Assisting management in ensuring proper product delivery, proper escalation and resolution of high exposure items, maintaining the proper balance of cost, control and client service
  • Identifying and resolving workflow issues
  • Building relationships at all levels both within and outside the organization
  • Communicating professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure
  • Challenging all processes, procedures and practices
  • Creative problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify, recommend and implement solutions
  • Ensuring adherence to all established policies, procedures and controls
  • Identify, test, and implement new processes
  • Manage staff and ensure they are meeting development goals
  • Qualifications :

  • BS / BA degree in a relevant field
  • 2-5 years of industry experience, securities lending background a plus
  • Ability to communicate professionally with external parties
  • Capable of working under pressure in a high paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet market deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel, Advanced skills preferred (lookups, macros, pivot tables)
  • Experience with trade settlement standards in Asian and European Markets
  • Familiarity with DTCC portal
