Chemonics seeks a MEL technician for the ongoing USAID Human Rights Accountability Activity (HRAA) in Mexico. The project aims to continue building the capacity of Mexico’s human rights institutions to more effectively and accountably respond to and prevent human rights violations in particular, forced disappearances and torture at the federal and state levels.
The MEL technician will implement the MEL program in accordance with USAID and Chemonics policies and regulations. This position will be based in Mexico City.

Responsibilities include :
Guarantee, together with the technical team, the inclusion of indicators and guidelines for the monitoring and evaluation of each of the activities to be developed
Document the impact and results of the project activities
Ensure that activities contemplate the objectives and results included in the MEL Plan
Participate actively in the collection of information resulting from the implementation of technical activities and working with partners and counterparts
Report the success and progression of the project, along with other relevant information.
Identify and monitor additional data sources that could generate relevant information
At least four years of experience in monitoring and evaluating USAID-funded projects
Experience in the implementation of indicators, monitoring, evaluation and learning mechanisms in projects with a results-focused approach.
High level of attention to detail, analytical skills and skills to identify and report information related to impact and results.
Ability and experience in organizing information management and data validation processes.
Experience using data analysis software such as Excel, Stata, and SPSS
Ability to meet goals and prioritize actions
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Fluency in Spanish, proficiency in English preferred
