Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking to fill a Cost and Commercial Manager role to provide dedicated first hand support for Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical or similarly complex asset type.

The Cost and Commercial Manager will be responsible for a specific project and oversee all aspects of Cost, Commercial, Contract Management and development.

The objectives will include responsibilities such as :

  • Estimating and producing cost plans;
  • Compiling and amending the tender list;
  • Drafting the contract procurement documentation;
  • Checking and analyzing the tenders;
  • Drafting the tender report with recommendations;
  • Dealing with contract variations and the change control processes, negotiating less financially significant or complex matters on behalf of the client;
  • Conducting cost checks and valuations;
  • Drafting monthly cost and commercial reports;
  • Analyzing the numbers for the final accounts;
  • Liaising with the client, contractors, designers, etc.
  • Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking;
  • Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • From 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost / Commercial Manager
  • Ideally sector experience in industrial and manufacturing
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Experience working with FIDIC type contracts is a plus
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients and have the ability to work independently
