INDUSTRIA MAQUILADORA Solicita : Cost Accountant Descripción y Requisitos Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.

Analyzing data collected and recording results

Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost

Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures

Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports

Making estimates of new and proposed product costs

Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.

Maintaining Cost Accounting System

Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger

Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program

Reconciles finished goods inventories

  • Required Capabilities :

  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and the application to a manufacturing
  • business.

  • Knowledge of finance and business measurements, such as : expense
  • performance, primary working capital, internal rate of return, capital investment, etc.

  • Ability to prepare forecasts and analyze trends.
  • Proven skills in account analysis, problem solving, and attention to detail.
  • Project management skills desired.
  • Ability to influence others using reason as well as data.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Education and Experience

  • Must have a BS in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area and five years progressive experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing business.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Oracle / HFM highly desirable. Must be able to work in front of a computer for long periods of time.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of a diverse and global organization. Must be Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Self-directed with a focus on process / continual improvement.Excellent
