Wood is currently recruiting for a Bi-lingual Cybersecurity Professional to be located in Mexico City, Mexico.

There is an expectation in this role that the Cybersecurity Professional will be fully bilingual (Spanish / English) and will have a strong background in telecommunications.
This role will be on site, at client facilities, for periods of up to 6 months. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual engineer and team member in front of both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
The design and implementation of Cybersecurity and Telecommunication installations pertaining to automation systems for the oil & gas and process industry
Engage in all phases of automation projects, including :
front-end engineering through detailed design; procurement; configuration; implementation; startup and commissioning; and in various disciplines such as architecture, networking, and specification development
Review and approve all telecoms drawings / documents : Standards & Specifications, System Block Diagrams, Layout drawings, Calculations, checking design quality and technical accuracy on assigned projects
Resolve technical issues with respect to Telecommunication system
Prepare material requisitions for electrical equipment, technical bid evaluations, and review suppliers' documents
Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT's) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT's) for Telecoms equipment on assigned project
Review, comment, and provide input on the project schedule
Provide information to project cost estimate (e.g. manpower, manhour required for execution of work)
Site checking and verification
Preparation of specification for installation and test procedures
Construction supervision, testing, and commissioning support
Support Purchasing with vendors lists development, requisition development, technical bid tabulations and clarifications, and purchase recommendations.
Travel expected to customer locations for project implementation (50%).
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in one of the following disciplines : Electronics, Telecommunications, Communications or related area.
Must have minimum 5 years' cybersecurity experience
Cisco Certified Cyber Ops Associate, CCNA, or CCNP certification is required
Experience with an operating company, systems vendor, or engineering services provider for the onshore or offshore oil & gas and / or energy industry, is preferred.
At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Cybersecurity and Telecommunication installations, including hands-on experience with the following :
Data Communications and Networking - LAN networks, Ethernet wireless, switching, routing, and firewalls.
IPS - Intrusion Prevention Systems
IDS - Intrusion Detection Systems
SIEM - Security Information and Event Management
Hands-on experience with the following is highly desired, but not required :
Vulnerability Scanner; External (Outside) Plant Cable Network Design; Structured Cable System Design; Voice Communication Design;
Security Access Control; Security Intrusion Detection Systems
Solid knowledge of international codes & standards
Extensive experience in Telecommunication System Design is highly desired
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and MS Project is required.
Strong written and verbal Bi-lingual communication skills; must have a strong proficiency in English, and be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, clients, and vendors.
Valid driver's license is required; Travel (driving a car) to client facilities is expected
Must be eligible to work in Mexico
