structured reports and packages of information to be sent to Reinsurance markets or other WTW offices such as London that can help the decision making process easier for a swift response and expedite collection on those cases approved by Reinsurers.

Must be prepared to go through difficult negotiations with Insurance Companies, Adjusters and Reinsurers, mostly in complex claims and have enough strength and sureness to defend what is considered, based on her / his experience, the right position on every specific case.

Will also help with back up work, through administrative specific tasks, overseeing other members of the team that will have the direct responsibilities of giving support to the operations in Mexico that will not being run by the Regional Hub in Argentina.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the CEO of the FAC Reinsurance operation in Mexico.
  • Responsible for supervising, handling & recover all claims in line with WTW policies
  • To analyze data on all claims
  • Negotiate complex claims with Ceding Companies, other WTW offices and Reinsurers
  • Direct communication with ceding companies and adjusters to get information necessary for processing claims.
  • Prepare reports to the attention of the CEO for decision-making process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by CEO as deem appropriate, including back up work as described above.
  • The Requirements

  • Hold at least a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Actuarial or related areas.
  • Have a minimum of five(5) years of relevant experience in Claims at a senior level.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on claims.
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines, with no supervision.
  • Ability to work sensitively in a multicultural environment and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience handling teams.
  • Ability to identify and understands relationships, constraints and pressures affecting others.
  • Show effective negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Show analytical skills.
  • Be innovative and creative.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrable understanding and application of insurance / reinsurance principles and processes.
  • Proficient in the use of standard MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) in English. Levels C1 / C2 preferable.
