Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Represent Transplace in a professional way with customers outside of our facilities.
  • Face-to-face calls with potential customers.
  • Communicate customer needs to product leaders, operations and pricing experts.
  • Deliver value proposals to customers.
  • Persuade prospects customers to utilize Transplace as their preferred logistics provider.
  • Usage of Sales Force to keep record of activities, manage active opportunities, won and lost opportunities, sales leads.
  • Coaching and supporting Sales Executives throughout the sales cycle of an opportunity.
  • Access and resolve issues of his / her team members with the upper management.
  • Supervise and assure mandatory Sales Force usage of team members and monitor their agreed KPIs and data quality.
  • Knowledge and Expertise

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Tools Ability to leverage Power Point, Excel and other MS programs, including Word, Outlook, Lync, etc.
  • Knowledge of assigned territory jurisdiction customer base, industrial parks and marketplace in general.
  • Knowledge of the Customer's Business Knowledge and understanding of the customer product, understand customer service needs and translate them into solutions, speak the customer's language and understand the customer's key service measures, etc
  • Industry Expertise Logistics industry knowledge, including key terminology; and, general knowledge of primary customer industries.
  • Skills

  • Social skills Gets along with all different types of people and personalities.
  • Selling skills Detect pain points, offer solutions and sell value on top of price only.
  • Basic Math Aptitude to learn how to calculate estimated revenue for a given opportunity.
  • Service Orientation Commits to and enjoys providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English in oral and written communications.
  • Travel

  • This job will require extensive travel by car within the territory / region of jurisdiction
  • May also require air travel for longer distances
  • Experience

  • 5+ Years in Logistics related positions, 3+ years in sales and / or account management related functions with a logistics services provider
  • Education

  • College Major Degree, preferentially in International Trade / International Business
  • Location

  • Guadalajara, Jal. or León, Gto.
