Primary responsibilities of the tool coordinator are related to manage the general system of cutting tools and the material resources of the area in order to maintain the operation of the lines in charge in our gear plant, in our Manufacturing Complex in Silao, Guanajuato, México.
Your main accountabilities will be to :
Implement the most appropriate method and control to improve the performance and quality of the tooling (Arbor, Set-Up Gage, Pin Plate, contact parts), taking into account operator safety.
Develop and document the Operating Instructions and Visual Aids as a tool to easily consult the production area.
Elaborate programs of Preventive maintenance to the Toolings, always looking for the quality of the Toolings
Elaborate program of Calibration to the machines, always seeking to comply with the specifications established by engineering-quality
Implement improvements and / or changes to existing processes in order to meet production schedules in quality, time, volume and mix, and seek a direct cost benefit.
Ensure the supply of preset tools for machining lines in charge
Attend the problems of the lines in charge.
Ensure the availability of tools for all machines, tools preset.
Ensure the cost per piece according to budget, savings projects.
Solving tool problems (faults with poor finishing, tooling life).
Ensure optimal use of tools
Ensure the best process cost
Application of best technologies
Avoid at all costs productions stop due to lack or problems of tools
Monitor the expense of tools of each line of machining.
Check and analyze the damages of tools of the lines in charge.
Check the inventories and circulating re-tool of the lines.
Comply with the tool development program.
Participate in Work Shops line integrations and / or modifications.
Analyze the inventory and perform the coding of new line tools
Position Requirements : We are looking for :
We are looking for :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or mechatronics, similiar degree, preferred)
2 years as engineering, tooling or processes coordinator with machining processes experience.
Knowledge in machining processes; and advance level of CNC machines.
Knowledge in cutting tools.
English advanced level
Leadership, Decision Making, Teamwork, Proactive, Supplier contact, Problem solving, Sense of urgency, Responsible.
