The Marketing Coordinator has an enthusiastic interest and ever growing competence in marketing with a solid understanding of its importance in the marketing efforts.

Working within their sales and marketing team the coordinator is a critical player in keeping the team operating effectively whether they are in the office or out of the office, as well as, making sure client communication and marketing activities go smoothly.

The Marketing Coordinator provides support in all aspects of the sales teams marketing efforts and activities relating to the day-to-day servicing and operation of the department.

Because of the coordinators active internal role they will have a detailed awareness of the channel opportunities, work status and need to convey those situations to appropriate members of the sales and affiliate team.

A successful coordinator is involved in direct and indirect client communications and development of special opportunities and is called upon to insure efforts run smoothly and opportunities are fully exploited in media propositions.

In exploiting opportunities, the coordinator will need to build a solid aptitude and understanding of channel capabilities.

The Marketing Coordinator will work directly for the Marketing Director and sales team which may require involvement in the development of sales proposition in terms of added value and original production opportunities.

Because of their hands on involvement with affiliates / ad sales marketing activities as well as added value and original production the coordinator will need to maintain accurate records and status reports so that all critical parties are keenly aware of the status of the ongoing projects.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for being aware of status of all materials / productions which should lead to on time delivery of all client commercials received by the channel.

Through greater client contact and by continuous learning from sales team members will aid the coordinator in obtaining the experience and sharpen of skills that will lead her / him to gaining a role with increasing marketing responsibility or in direct advertising sales.

30% 1. Responsible for coordination of marketing programs and activities. Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, implements and manages marketing programs, status of marketing activities and events.

20% 2. Thorough Understanding of Channel Activities. The coordinator needs to be fully aware of what is happening with our properties.

Also, the coordinator needs to be aware of channels status of all client related creative development.

20% 3. Day-to-day Support in Sales Materials The coordinator provides support in the development of marketing propositions and special events.

As well as, oversees the process of client promotional materials during the events or production cycle by tracking status and delivery.

15% 4. Understanding and involvement in the overall sales process. The coordinator will provide required support throughout the sales process from initial pitching of an account to oversight leading to airing of an original production, etc.

15% 5. Client contact. Given their knowledge of key status the Coordinator is the eyes and ears of the Marketing Director and will have an active role in relationships with all key constituencies ad sales team, channel owners, etc.

In terms of knowledge, the candidate should have the following :

  • Understanding of the Sales and Client Servicing Process : Includes have the awareness of process and the steps that are required from initial contact through successful completion of projects.
  • An attention to detail so that all activities occur as planned. Strong interpersonal skills that support building an effective relationship with clients and colleagues

  • Rudimentary Understanding of the Media : The Marketing Coordinator should have a base knowledge of the industry, key channel networks, existence of some key advantageous of multichannel media
  • Solid Computer Skills with High Level of Knowledge and Comfort with the use of the personal computers as the role requires daily use of Microsoft Office programs as well as other industry and company specific programs.
  • In addition, in this role he / she will need to have a general use of the internet as a source of information

  • A Team Player and Self Motivated the coordinator is a critical member of the team and needs to have a positive attitude about be a contributing member of the team and supporting a positive environment for their colleagues.
  • Also, the coordinator needs to have a high degree of self-motivation to seek out answers to questions.

  • Comfort with Public Speaking in order for a Coordinator to present their findings in the most effective manner and therefore should be comfortable with public speaking in front of groups of 2-10 people.
  • The ability to clearly articulate his / her work is fundamental to success

  • Performance Under Pressure the sales coordinator on a regular basis will deal with many individuals often under time constraints and pressures.
  • Given this likely scenario, the coordinator should be an easy-going individual who can work well under pressure and with individuals of varying personalities

    The candidate must have the following credentials :

  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) with high proficiency in Spanish both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Ability to multitask and effectively function in an ever-changing business environment
  • Self-motivated individual who knows where to go to find answers to questions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
