Local Unit & Position Description
DNV GL - Energy division is seeking a Wind Energy Analyst to join our Project Development and Analytics team in Mexico. This role is to enhance capabilities and increase resources of the Project Development and Analytics (PD&A) team, which is responsible to support our Customers from the prospection phase to operation.
Energy production assessments, both pre-construction and operational, are the main service we provide to developers, investors, operators, or lenders.
This position is based out of our Mexico City or Queretaro office.
Tasks May Include
Analyzing wind and other climatic data
Analyzing SCADA data and alarms
Monitor performance issues and O&M of a wind farm
Predicting wind farm energy production
Writing technical reports and communicating results to clients
Collaborating on the preparation of service proposals and follow up with clients as required
Collaborating and briefing with colleagues worldwide on technical topics.
Position Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering, Physics, Mathematics field
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in performing post-construction energy production assessments
Proficiency with SCADA data analysis
Aptitude in the statistical analysis of data including relevant tools and software
Proficiency with MS Office Word / Excel / Access
SQL knowledge
Ability to use Excel spreadsheets and macros efficiently for analyses and reporting
Strong overall computer skills and ability to learn multiple software tools, programming in R or Python is highly valued
Understanding of wind energy industry standards and best practices
Customer centricity, putting the client in the center of everything we do

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to meet goals and milestones according to company specifications
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to a tight budget and schedule
Willingness and ability to travel, up to 25% of the time.
Strong written and verbal English & Spanish communication skills;
