The Engineering Training Expert interacts with R&D, Production, Application Engineering and other multidisciplinary functions within the ABB ELDS organization in addition to internal and external customers in order to understand ABB ELDS Mexico product and processes and the related technical knowledge requirements for the engineering functions.
The Engineering Training Expert provide support, direction and assistance to the Mexico engineering teams in ELDS to lead the training programs, actions, supplies, resources and materials required for every specific technical and process training to strengthen engineering technical / technology knowledge.
In this role you will also work within defined parameters, practices and quality standards applicable to the product lines in ABB ELDS Mexico.
Fully understand engineering processes and interactions in the product order cycle in order to identify technical and process requirements to be addressed by engineering.
Translate engineering requirements into training plans and programs in order to ensure all requirements are correctly addressed through the engineering training and processes.
Provide feedback of product requirements to any function in ELDS organization in order to clarify, correct, adjust and / or initiate the appropriate processes for a successful order execution.
Responsible to ensure training compliance on product engineering policies, regulations, standards and procedures.
Correlate engineering product features, processes and factory requirements to suggest engineering process optimization actions in order to improve (redesign, simplify, standardize, automate, etc.
engineering product processing in all product stages (quoting, engineering / design, manufacturing, post shipment stages).
Responsible to track and advise Engineering technical growth to the engineering and other organization leaders.
Provide technical training to engineering on the corresponding field of expertise and own the coordination of the training schedule, plans and programs.
Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions related to engineering training to avoid recurrence.
Contribute to lessons learned by capturing mistakes and communicating action items to drive continuous improvement through technical / process training when applicable.
Collaborate with other teams to define Engineering tools to drive efficiency and accuracy by providing feedback and contributing to testing of new tool features.
Collaborate with leadership to create engineering documentation, standards and best practices.
Perform other local tasks as required for the position.
Master’s in Electrical Engineering or any degree related to control boards or electrical distribution products in Medium / Low Voltage.
More than 10 years of experience.
