Technical Sales Is member of End User Sales team (of the LBU / the Service Station). Achieves targets set by Head of End User Sales, based on LBU strategy.
Delivers appropriate market coverage for new business end user influencing and service sales in his assigned territory / segment / customer group.
Provides alignment with existing OEM and End User Agreements. Accountable for owner decisions in favor of ABB in new business and service revenue and margin in his assigned territory / segment / customer group.
Builds professional long term relationships with his assigned customer base. Technical Sales is also responsible for some aspects of the repair, installation and maintenance of turbochargers and their components at customer job sites and in ABB’s workshops

The following responsibilities indicate some of the key elements of this role, but should not be considered as a complete definition, as there will be tasks that are requested, that are deemed to be reasonably expected as part of this role : -
Drive sales of services and service products such as fleet & maintenance agreements and OPAC as well as end user decisions to specify ABB t / cs for their newbuilding projects to capture full market potential
Execute sales strategies, sales plans and sales support activities plans in his assigned territory / segment / customer group.
Deliver on sales targets, margin and incentive targets, customer visit plan, customer communication and events plan). Attend trainings assigned.
Build long term relationships with assigned customers at all levels, explore new business opportunities & generate new installed base, or market share by influencing through key decision processes
Support market intelligence and business development projects as required to drive the growth of the business
Assembly and disassembly of turbochargers and turbocharger components and all associated processes for the purpose of repair, maintenance and installation, whilst in the workshop or at customer’s job site, to all ABB working instructions and quality standards.
Skilled in the use of metric and imperial measuring tools, such as verniers, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. with high degree of accuracy.
Knowledge and skill of operating of rotating machinery, such as balancing machines, lathes, drills, boring machines correctly and in a safe manner, working with close tolerances.
Ability to read and understand instruction books written in English and drawings and to communicate efficiently and effectively in a professional manner, verbal or in written, whilst understanding the importance of protecting the company’s propriety information and intellectual property rights.
Basic knowledge of turbocharger and engine principles, product range and repair techniques with ability to troubleshoot and provide information for investigation reports and operational inspections to assist customer improve the efficiency and operation of their product.
Provide advice and assistance to the customers on technical issues related to turbochargers and their components, including where appropriate, the interaction with the engines and / or applications.
Act as Company’s representative working to the company’s code of conduct and in an ethical manner to expand business activities and strives to satisfy and exceed customer’s needs and expectations.
Update customer database (ATURB) with sales calls and unallocated Turbochargers
Clean driving license with ability to collect / deliver turbocharger and components to customer’s job site and perform work.
Basic understanding of financial and legal aspects of contracting with the customers and suppliers.
Ensure that all work is in accordance with the quality procedures, company regulations, meets our legal and commercial requirements, delivering the financial controls needed to achieve the company’s targets.
Continuously evaluate activities of other competitors in new and service business
Share information gained from customer visits as part of market intelligence input

Efficient, organized, task orientated person, capable of interacting and communicating with all levels of customer, factories and internal departments, both verbally and in writing.
Possessing tact, empathy, diplomacy and efficiency in communicating effectively.
Analytical and accurate, with attention to detail, ability to plan and follow company strategy.
Requires decision making ability with ability to work independently and on own initiative.
Financially aware with good computer literacy.
Education and Experience : -
5 years’ experience in Service Sales (preferably engines or maritime industry or ABB Turbocharging).
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
