The Continental Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Systems Engineering Team Leader is responsible for design / development of radar, camera and control modules from concept phase to production.
Key areas of focus for the Systems Engineering Team Leader are :
Responsible for Requirements Engineering / Management for ADAS devices. Main interface with Customer for requirements managements and change requests, ensure designs meet customer requirements & specifications.
Responsible for product's compliance to Functional Safety standards ISO26262.
Responsible for System's Lead Engineering (Technical Project's Engineering) to ensure the products meet the proper technical maturity level through all development phases.
Core Responsibilities for Systems Team Leader :
Management of Engineers team, investments and group expenses for annual business plan and monthly monitoring.
Control and authorize Project’s hours to ensure that the workload of the group is appropriate.
Find and investigate the right tools for engineers to do their jobs.
To ensure an adequate flow of information within the group and with other areas.
Coordinate the activities necessary to prepare quotes for customers.
Ensure that project tasks assigned to the team run on time and with the required quality.
Define the working teams based on the capabilities / skills of the engineers.
Constantly seek continuous improvement through the monitoring of company’s processes and their improvement.
Proposing new forms of leadership within the company to improve the team's results.
Promoting innovation in product development within the company.
Evaluate the performance of each engineer.
Plan and coordinate the trainings for each engineer focused on improving their job skills and thus to align their career plan within the company.
Define, monitor and evaluate the goals for the team.
Participate in the selection of new engineers for the team.
Actively promote the values of the company.
To promote teamwork, respect and trust between the team and other areas.
Act as mentor of the group of Engineers."
2+ years of Engineering Leadership experience.
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
8 years professional experience in Automotive Electronic Products
Technical experience covering electronics and testing
Excellent oral and written communication skills (Presentations, Test reports, etc.)
Fluent in English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in Automotive development / quality process
Experience in Requirements engineering and traceability to test
Experience using DOORs
Knowledge in ISO26262, IEC61508, and / or Automotive SPICE
Experience with FMEA methods and tools (such as APIS IQ FMEA)
Ability to travel (<10% of the time) to support knowledge transfer and global coordination of activities
Logical problem solver, pays attention to detail
