The main responsibilities for this position are :

  • Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions
  • Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures
  • Ensures all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Work with the upper management levels to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Responsible for planning and organizing production schedules and maintain adequate inventories of all the products in our portfolio
  • In charge for assessing projects and resource requirements
  • Accountable for overseeing production processes
  • Organizes the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Complies with safety policy and standards
  • Assures the safe and cost-effective operation of the assets in Santa Clara to meet the associated business supply plans by providing leadership for the implementation and adherence to site safety, environmental, and Responsible Care policies and standards
  • Provides safety leadership by ensuring safe and accurate handling of product through the distribution channel
  • Assures compliance with all Safety Management Standards
  • Assures all assigned employees understand and comply with all Distribution Center safety rules, policies and standards operating procedures
  • Participate in establishing training & drills to increase employee safety awareness
  • Coordinates the emergency response plan toward being a respected, fully responsible member of the community and to meet the goal of zero losttime and recordable accidents within the supply chain and production teams
  • This position is responsible for ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
  • Accountable for defining and overseeing processes relating to Health and Safety, Training administration, Occupational Health and staff welfare issues to providing the operational management team with consistent and effective support
  • Responsible for supervising the purchasing process; selecting, ordering & purchasing
  • Supervise the customer order fulfillment with a proper and timely delivery scheduling
  • Develops a cost-effective supply chain network
  • Accountable for establishing inventory targets and managing to these targets.
  • Assures that all inbound and outbound logistics work efficiently for all the products sold in Mexico, Central America and the Andean Region
  • Helps the organization's processes remain legally compliant
  • Works with our Regional Director to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and that the company's interests are protected
  • Provide inspired leadership for the organization
  • Ensures everyone in the organization has clear job descriptions, objectives, and performance feedback
  • Creates and fosters a supportive work environment
  • Complies with the company's policies and standards
  • Organizes relevant training sessions
  • Assist HR with recruiting when necessary
  • Help promote a company atmosphere that encourages top performance and high morale
  • Support worker communication with the management team
  • Supervises the work of direct reports
  • Optimizes the working capital and maintains optimal inventory levels
  • Estimates, negotiates and agrees budgets
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing
  • Answerable for determining quality control standards
  • Supervise consistent quality of production by enforcing good manufacturing practices validating processes; providing documentation; managing staff
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving product quality by doing surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints;
  • collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods

  • To assist in maintaining accreditation of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001 : 2015 standard, Responsible Care and HACCP by monitoring established procedures, challenging inefficiencies and working with Team to initiate changes to procedure and documentation where required.
  • Maintenance
  • Assures the distribution center and physical assets are maintained to the standards required to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the facility
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, chemical engineer or related fields* Experience in management, operations, supply chain and leadership* Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees* Excellent communication skills* Solid understanding of financial management* 5+ years of supervisory experience;
  • production and supply chain management preferred* Experience working for a US based multinational company in Mexico* Fluent in English and Spanish* Self-starter with a proven track record of success with minimal supervision and guidance* Strong computer skills (MS Applications : Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
