This position lead the BPA function for NGSC (Novartis Global Service Center) including planning and Budgeting (Latest Forecast, Budget, LO) and analysis of results for NGSC, in close collaboration with NGSC representative and NGSC Domain leads.

Coordinate and reconcile NGSC expansion plans with Budgeting process and FTE’s capacity plan Reviews performance against objectives and acts as a business partner with the NGSC Board and CCFO developing insights into key business drivers / KPIs, turning them into actionable recommendations to support NGSC in optimizing Results.

Monthly meetings with Domain Heads and regular meetings with Global BPA’s for the Domains located in Basel headquarters, Brazil regional offices and other NGSC’s.

  • Lead country Budgeting / LF / LO process for NGSC NGSC BPA partners with Board 7stakeholders and their direct reports Deploy, in collaboration with Global Domain BPA’s NBS a robust planning process for NGSC including cash-
  • flow Establish early warning mechanism through robust Risks and Opportunities process

  • Challenge and investigate results with the objective of identifying gaps recommending gap closing actions when necessary Implement new charging model at country level ensuring statutory profitability is maintained responsible for SLA, intercompany invoicing etc Keep close collaboration with CCFO and Divisional CFO’s;
  • on the Country side, and Global BPA’s on the headquarters side to ensure profit is on track

  • Execute charging model in BPC / SAP planning systems to ensure proper financial impact during the year Coordinate with Divisions carve-
  • out and boundary changes processes to align on budget and FTE’s transfers and organization transformations

  • Follow up on footprint according to capacity plan / budget Assist in driving transformation initiatives delivering committed savings
  • Drive Productivity initiatives to optimize in country NBS cost base and ensure tracking / reporting of savings in place Validate Sourcing productivity savings for NBS spend categories and coordinate validation of Sourcing productivity for non-
  • NBS spend categories with Divisional BPAs ensuring alignment with NGSC Board / divisions

  • Leverage central reporting tools Ensure quality and timely NBS Closing Review Headcount reporting and that new NGSC positions are correctly mapped and created
  • Ensure timely execution and capitalization for investment projects Monitor customer satisfaction metrics
  • Review charging model implementation, manage deviations and propose necessary mitigating / correcting actions
  • Prepare quality CARs as required for investment / divestment projects; follow up Make sure NBS acts as a facilitator in projects for Commercial Divisions Lead role to address NGSC Domain information requests NGSC PLS set-
  • up with close collaboration of Global Finance team Support on new REFS service supplier implementation

  • Support on new IT organization ensuring correct budget allocation between functions, establishment of new Service Desk supplier, transformation of IT structure and transition from local to global vendors Be the point of contact for the Stakeholders in the, Customers and Core Finance Team for financial information
  • Minimum requirements

  • University degree in economics, business, or related field Advanced degree in business, economics, or related field preferred
  • English Expertise in local language Significant (6-10 years) experience in budgeting and / or controlling positions
  • Experience designing, operating financial reporting, and forecasting systems
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to foster a constructive, yet challenging dialogue with NBS Service Domains Demonstrated clear leadership skills in driving processes across units and ability to influence others
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to clearly present financial data in reports distributed to Global officers
  • Shows strong sense of urgency in solving problems, getting work done, also through others in his / her coordination role
