Senior Data Scientist
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for data modeling and analytics supporting a wide variety of field, sales, leadership, human resources and marketing teams with insights gained from analyzing company data.
The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.
They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining / data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using / creating algorithms and creating / running simulations.
They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams.
The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Coordinates and conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis of business data, such as financial results, productivity, costs, etc.
Partners with business leaders to understand patterns and trends in the organization through data.
Manage weekly and monthly KPIs, build reports and dashboards.
Mine data for answers to business challenges
Proactively shares insights and findings with partners and key stakeholders to maximize the impact on critical business decisions.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assessment and measurement methodologies, advanced statistical / data analysis, process excellence, and process / tools development.
Supports initiatives, projects and programs as needed with predictive analytics to recognize behavioral patterns and anticipate future results
Consolidates and presents analysis and information to senior / executive leadership in a digestible way.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS :
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Highly skilled in working with raw data, utilizing various tools, such as Excel, Access and statistical software tools to produce quality work products.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities and work independently with minimal oversight.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting assigned deadlines.
Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.
Ability to utilize best practices in data / trend forecasting and modeling.
Strong ability to lead in preparation and presentation of analytic results, including data analysis, code preparation and review, final output review and delivery to a customer.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply best practices and standards of human resources.
Proficient with relational database concepts, including advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
