Purpose Statement : Responsible for working with the Manufacturing Transition Manager to successfully transition new products into Plexus manufacturing.
A transition request can come from a new customer or Plexus Technology Group. The product will typically be transitioned from the customer’s current contract manufacturer;
the customer’s own manufacturing facility or be a new design. Responsible for transitioning an existing customer’s new product program which is deemed too large for the Plexus customer team to manage.
Key Job Accountabilities :
Maintain / strengthen the customer relationship during crucial start-up and transition periods. Promote a professional relationship with the customer by maintaining and protecting the company’s image with respect to ethics, honesty, and competitiveness.
Responsible for utilizing the necessary Plexus resources to ensure a proactive approach to transition task completion.
Develop and maintain transition timelines for existing customer new product introductions
Responsible for maintaining transition timelines of new customer transitions.
Work with functional managers to assess team members work load during the transition timeline.
Provide overall direction to the MT Teams in establishing tactical plans to accomplish the desired transition goals, including complete ownership of activities and metrics.
Interact with the transition team acting as a communication link between the site and Transition Team regarding transition activities.
Maintain updated customer contact information and communicate significant changes to the organization as appropriate.
Prepare appropriate reports and updates.
Facilitate transition meetings.
Give transition presentations for customers who visit the site.
Requires a high level of professional interaction and communication with customer base. Interacts with Manufacturing Transition Team members, as well as Site Management.
Additional communication occurs with the Plexus Technology Group, and appropriate functional disciplines (Finance, Purchasing, Quoting, Manufacturing, and others).
Communicates with the Site-Manager of Program Management and the Global Transition Manager to obtain direction, assistance and to address concerns
Additional Accountabilities :
Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business

Education / Experience Qualifications :
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales / Marketing, or Technical / Engineering is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Three (3) years of related experience is required; Three (3) to Five (5) years of related experience is preferred.
The NPM must be bi-lingual with English as the secondary language for positions held outside the United States.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
