Caterpillar’s Product Change Control Technicians work independently to coordinate Engineering releasing activities across Caterpillar functions to ensure timely and accurate engineering changes.
The incumbent utilizes concurrent product and process development processes to complete their work.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Create, maintain and communicate accurate change management data
Input change data into multiple engineering systems
Directly communicate, input data and maintain data to ensure accurate and timely changes
Create change requirements and product structure based on analysis of various data inputs
Develop and document engineering drawing distribution criteria
Coordinate / monitor the daily change process
Direct and train personnel on engineering releasing activities
Attend team meetings to help identify and resolve process issues
Required Qualifications :
Technical college or university degree in a manufacturing or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills
Familiarity with engineering management systems
Ability to work with diverse teams of employees and customers
Good personal computer skills and knowledge of common software packages
Desired Qualifications :
Prior experience working in an engineering and / or manufacturing engineering position
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
