Interested in joining our mission? Take a look at career opportunities at Viasat today. Job Responsibilities We are currently looking for a Marketing Manager based in our Mexico City, Mexico office who will report to our Commercial Director and be an integral part of our team.
You’ll work with our Central marketing team, partners, agencies, our customer success team, product & operations managers, and business analytics teams to help achieve our subscriber acquisition, retention and customer satisfaction goals.
You will do so, by understanding our consumer needs in the market and our commercial models within both businesses and helping design the adequate strategies to communicate and sell to each business’ target customers.
leveraging both external and internal teams to execute programs that boost subscriber growth through : Consumer research & understanding Trade & channel marketing Media campaigns Digital Marketing Grassroots / Guerrilla Marketing Brand and image At Viasat, this means you will need to bring fresh, creative and innovative thinking to our current overarching advertising strategy and help optimize our business to meet our longer-term objectives : Use data driven metrics provided through research and business analytics to outline market needs, expectations and deliver winning value-propositions Develop a subscriber acquisition strategy for national and local campaigns across traditional and digital media.
Provide guidance to agencies in terms of material adaptation & creation; adhering to Brand Guidelines Work with Central Marketing team to continuously improve brand communication, awareness, top of mind and preference Define conversion-oriented digital engagement strategy, associated KPIs to measure performance Use ROI oriented strategies to drive investment in supporting communication and budget allocation to key sales channels Manage and execute Marketing budget efficiently, with ROI focus Optimize our media spend to drive customer activations based on media mix, message type, offer and target segment.
Work closely with distributors, dealers, territory managers, sales agents, creative agencies, channels, product marketing and acquisition teams to ensure alignment and flawless execution.
Report out on key projects and associated results in a clear, concise manner to all levels of the organization. Support and track implementation of Partner Success Plans, reviewing critical goals, specific tasks, and key performance indicators to help partners achieve their objectives.
Co-develop with sales teams’ tools and schemes for incentives directed to sales partners, dealers and retail channels Support sales channels with training materials Contribute to development of training resources and documentation to improve the partner resource portal Provide insight with respect to the availability and applicability of new products and features Requirements 7 yrs+ Experience in marketing to consumers, internet, mobile, TV or other subscription service preferred Expertise in business analytics and ability in interpreting sales and churn data to draw actionable conclusions Experience running partner programs and quarterly / monthly business reviews, or similar external partner reviews Experience in digital and offline marketing, agency or creative experience a plus.
Strategic and analytical thinker who can collect and analyze data to make appropriate process / business decisions / recommendations.
Effective communication skills with ability to communicate media strategy and recommendations to senior leadership. 2+ years managing direct partners or agencies Demonstration of exceptional Business English and Spanish : verbal, written, social, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Team players who have demonstrated they can contribute individually as well as help others so the whole team succeeds Proven ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities Experience navigating and steering partner or customer engagements to completion with a high level of partner or customer happiness Bachelors or Masters in Business, Marketing or related field Up to 25% Travel, domestic and international, as needed
