Safetyand Environmental Manager that provide representation and oversight of allaspects of safety and environment related to service delivery within our MexicoServices organization.
This role is accountable for ensuring all field servicespersonnel are trained and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, andother codes, laws, company policies and procedures.
This includes creation,preparation, review and facilitation of all monthly and annual required trainingand certification courses for our Field Service Representatives (FSR’s),creation and review of Job Hazard Analysis’, and site safety audits.
This rolereports to the Director of Safety and Environment for North America andsupports all disciplines reporting under that the Mexico Service Director includingEnergy / Power FSR’s, Managers, Sales, and Office Personnel.
To perform this jobsuccessfully, you must be able to satisfactorily perform each of these duties :
AssistsSERE with development, publishing and training of safety and environmentalprograms consistent with regulations and company policy.
Assistwith creation of job hazard analysis for work tasks.
Oversightand support of Field Safety Audits
100% compliance for all training mandates.
Incident investigation and corrective action.Develop preventive safety measures and programs to prevent recurrence.
Standardized PPE Issue and regular review forcompliance
Guidance / MOP’s associated with product relatedsafety issues
Safety policy creation and review
Review subcontractors safety program, performsite audits, and identify corrective actions.
Work withpeers to ensure Country wide standardization and practice.
Facilitate annual safety training.
Maintainsrequired records, prepares reports and files as necessary to meet corporate andregulatory requirements.
Organizeand coordinate emergency response.
Assistin providing direction and leading Safety Committee
Interfaceand assist Regions with all mandated 3
party safety platformsincluding DISA, PICS, ISN, etc.
Education and Experience
Four-year degree or equivalent work experience in Safety andHealth or Electrical Engineering.
College or work experience directly related to Safety, Health andEnvironmental regulations and policies.
Experience leading and developing teams to achieve improvedresults, which are measured through Target Zero safety incidents and 100%compliance with all mandates.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification and DC-5 Licensepreferred.
Key Competencies / Requirements
Excellent bilingualcommunications skills both in Spanish and English (verbal and written) to alllevels of the organization from Country President to field employee.
Driven and self motivated.
Ability to proficiently address multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and cognizant of satisfyingdeadlines.
Skilled in use of Microsoft Office platform.
Extensive travel via auto and air at least 50 75% of time withinMexico.
Occasional travel outside of Mexico for meetings and trainingevents.
Must maintain a valid state vehicle operator’s license.
