Department Overview

The Territory Channel Account Manager position is structured within Motorola's North Latin America Channel Sales organization.

NOLA) The Territory Channel Account Manager role is exclusively focused on driving sales growth for Motorola's Professional / Commercial Radio portfolio in US and Canada, primarily through a network of distribution partners.

Job Description

The Territory Channel Account Manager, will be mainly responsible for establishing strong relationships within distributors and dealers.

They will be responsible for creating a proactive sell in and sell through environment to maximize sales in their respective Region.

The Territory Channel Account Manager will also be responsible building promotional incentives for distributors. Expectations include managing relationships with distributors and dealers and management of his own work team.

Experience in telecommunications equipment. A good understanding of developing and executing joint sales programs from scratch, training and the impact to drive sales results.


Work with Regional based distributors and dealers to drive device equipment sales.Maintain a high level CRM profile through planning and relationship development with key distributors and dealers Work with regional sales leaders to create a strategic plan for each customer on how the Motorola Solutions brand / devices will be showcased to their customers.

Build annual business plan to strategically achieve targets and goals.Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to ensure flawless execution of programs, effective communication between internal and external stakeholders, and raise brand awareness among channel partners.

Work closely with Marketing & Sales teams to measure the success of channel initiatives and overall sales performance for the region / customers.

Create an ongoing competitive profile within the designated region and develop & execute a strategic plan to give an advantageous sales opportunity with each dealer / retailer.

Serve as the main point of contact for any channel partners regarding issues & opportunities in the Region.Attend & participate in designated events & trade shows including retailer / dealer channel activities.

Review and analyze sales data to proactively manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels.Manage the day to day activities in the region, including local travel.

Basic Requirements

At least five (5) years of Territory Channel Account Manager, Sales Leader for channels, enterprise and / or governments sales in the telecommunications industrySuperior business acumen & proven consultative skill setStrong team player with the ability to manage within the confines of a corporate process / proceduresDefine self-starter & problem solverProven leadership skillReasonable level of technical proficiency, with strong appetite for continual learning.

Extensive experience of participating virtual teams across functions and geographies : Inclusive and collaborative driving teamwork and cross-team alignment.

Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills.Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.

Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and / or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.

Bachelor degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA preferred.
