Perform duties to learn the sales process and provide application specific support at customer locations including troubleshooting and metrology expertise, initial equipment setup, and technical demonstrations of hardware and software products, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.


  • Travel alongside Account Managers to understand the customer base, product applications, demonstration process and sales cycle.
  • Establish and maintain credibility as technical subject matter expert and internal technical consultant.
  • Provide application specific product demonstrations and support throughout the lead generation and sales process.
  • Set up and test equipment at new customer installations.
  • Assist customer in implementing customized FARO measurement solutions for customers’ specific processes and parts.
  • Respond to technical support / assistance inquiries as directed.
  • Actively seek ways to continuously improve products and services, providing feedback to Product Management

    On a regular basis, lifting of average or heavy weight materials over 50 lbs, occasional bending, stooping and upper body & arm rotation, frequent pushing, pulling, sitting, standing and reaching and some climbing.


  • Desire to move into a full sales role
  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, related Engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding of 2D and 3D CAD
  • Clear oral / written communications
  • Interpersonal and team skills
  • Eligible for US employment
  • Valid Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record
  • Up to 80% weekday travel

  • Sales or Customer Service experience
  • Technical consulting experience
  • Metrology and / or imaging applications experience
  • Presentation skills
  • GD&T experience
