Description To provide hands on support to production teams to resolve problems that may arise during operations related to equipment or plant automation.

Executes automation systems monitoring as well as make changes for systems improvements. Trains technical personnel in automation topics.

Analyzes equipment automation performance and corrects deviations. Works side-by-side with automation technicians. Creates technical documents and OPLs.

Evaluates all changes and improvements to assigned automation system. Works closely with Automation Systems Lead to drive improvements from OEM’s. Main Responsibilities

  • Teams are always supported to achieve BIC MTBF and MTTR results.
  • Growth and expansion of the progressive maintenance in the plant.
  • Train team personnel to gain further knowledge of automation. Coach on-the-job.
  • Participates with teams in problem solving initiatives using iLSS tools.
  • Support all improvement activities where data gathering is required or report creation is needed from data available on the floor.
  • Continuously work with teams to improve their activities.

  • Provides continuous feedback to engineering to always drive for better reliability and maintainability capacities of future equipment and processes in relation with automation.
  • Maintains automation strategy and roadmap for the plant as well as coordinate with global Mondelez initiatives.
  • Gives immediate support to automation issues encountered on equipment and that is above the capabilities of line personnel and automation techs.
  • Supports energy saving initiatives that are related to controls and / or automation
  • Academic Knowledge

  • BS in Engineering in any of the following fields : Mechatronics or Electronics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Rockwell Automation platforms. RSLogix 5000, SLC500, Kinetics, network topologies (especially Ethernet / IP, Device Net).
  • Knowledge in weighing and metering systems.
  • Ethernet or devicenet networking general knowledge.
  • Advanced English required
  • SAP PM knowledge required
  • Working Knowledge

  • Automation Engineer with experience of at least 3 yrs.
  • Have worked in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) environments preferred
  • Have worked in a food industry preferred
  • Team player.
  • Able to teach others through theory and practice.
  • Proactive.
  • Able to understand and link process information.
  • Good communication and negotiating skills.
  • Capacity to analyse complex technical problems.
  • Able to follow and to prepare instructions for himself and for others.
