Purpose :

Provide technical support for the Production team. Supports plant’s teams to constantly improve Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Equipment Utilization, and Labor Efficiency through rigorous application of the standard Lean tools.

Drives cultural change to help management to adopt lean thinking, Gemba attitude (where the action takes place) and foster a culture of people development and people empowerment.

Responsibilities : Support improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.

Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.

Participate in new product introduction through process layout, tool development, and new equipment. Make sure that the Lean Standards are in place before the release to production.

Support Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety effortsin support of plant goals Support LEAN manufacturing implementation Routines.

Participate in the Lean Policy Deployment by developing and following up the results of continues improvement workshops.

Be the leader of continues improvement initiatives proposed by the different departments involved.

Leader an execution of continues improvement workshops.

Strive for continues improvement opportunities in the manufacturing area. Contributes to assure that the SPQVC metrics are being correctly calculated and on time each month.

Participate directly to the maintenance of the Lean Materials Flow supporting the operation by monitoring the handling of Kanban and replacement when needed.

Responsible for the maintenance of the installed Lean Tools in the plant.

Requirements :

Last semester of BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree.

Understanding about Lean Manufacturing.

Hands-on, willing to spend most of his time on the floor looking for improvement opportunities.

Computer skills : Microsoft office, internet.

English 70%

Ready to travel as requested.

Convincing, persistent, good facilitator and good trainer.

Communication skills, open minded and positive attitude : willing to help.

Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Bilingual
