We position DXC to be the showcase of world class IT services by driving digital transformation, employee experience, and business enablement.

Within DXC IT, the Business Planning and Operations team drives IT strategy and governance, and enabling business processes to help the IT organization fulfill its mission.

This spans IT asset management, budget management, and IT procurement operations activities.

The Budget and Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible to :

  • Function as an extended member of the IT leadership team to understand the IT strategy, plans, and priorities and translate that to the financial and workforce plan needed to achieve
  • Provide strategic advice to the IT leadership team, including scenario analysis to provide a basis for factual decision-making
  • Consult with assigned executives and their staff to develop monthly financial forecasts, identify risks and opportunities including unusual trends, and how best to position the organization to achieve budget
  • Maintain high level view of the workforce including forward forecast, and support the opening of new staff requests that are aligned within the approved workforce plan
  • Develop and maintain appropriate time tracking framework for assigned executive team, partnering with finance to implement the necessary financial codes
  • Consult on business case development for IT projects
  • Interfaces with finance and HR functions to optimize processes and proactively resolve concerns
  • Coordinates and facilitates meetings to gather requirements and collaboratively work on deliverables
  • Proactively identify gaps or opportunities to improve the organization’s processes and performance.
  • May perform other activities as needed to contribute to the organization’s success
  • The successful candidate will contribute to the DXC IT strategies, provide insight into financial performance of IT services, may participate in or lead business case development, and ultimately ensure IT makes informed decisions with accurate data.

    Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of IT or financial experience, with basic understanding of IT services
  • Consulting experience or prior client management experience highly desired
  • Exceptional analytical skills, able to work across complex financial data sets
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • High degree of curiosity, with a passion for learning new and diverse things
  • Positive, highly motivated, and with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work within a team setting or independently to achieve goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate strong, consistent business acumen and general management leadership abilities including accountability
  • Ability to handle uncertainty while continuing to drive assigned work
  • Technical skills

  • Advanced use of other Microsoft Online products strongly preferred
