Sales Representative for Mexico City, with possible sales responsibilities in other surrounding states.

Primary Function :

  • Develop and execute robust sales plans in order to meet and exceed the sales targets, for your territory.
  • Generate and deliver a strong sales strategy, including how you will maintain and grow your market segment(s), while delivering a best-in-class customer experience with regard to market, applications and competition.
  • Conduct effective and engaging customer meetings, presentations and / or technical seminars.
  • Organically grow regional prospects while generating strong sales pipelines.
  • Timely and accurate forecasting and sales pipeline generation is critical with regular daily updates into
  • Contribute in marketing and other promotional events, on behalf of SCIEX and with your Dealer Partners.
  • Collaborate with local service and other support staff, to ensure total customer solution and satisfaction.
  • Attend and support local technical shows and mass spectrometry related discussion groups.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biology), with no less than 2+ years of successful capital equipment sales experience is required.
  • Ability to effectively develop knowledge of accounts and key customers in the territory and have the ability to interpret customer's needs and identify / propose solutions.
  • Prior experience and knowledge with typical laboratory applications, specifically Food testing, Environmental analysis, Forensics testing, Biopharmaceutical / Pharmaceutical analysis, Clinical Research & Diagnostics and other laboratory measurement challenges.
  • Ability to relate to and understand customer needs and SCIEX product lines.
  • Knowledge of the sales life cycle, processes and value added selling for the Mass Spectrometry and Capillary Electrophoresis market.
  • Ability to respond quickly to competitive situations and influence customers buying decisions.
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to take ownership for results.
  • An ability to work independently, deliver quality results and perform well with little supervision. Must meet deadlines, but also possess the ability to work in team.
  • Must travel routinely (minimum 75% travel) within your territory to customer accounts, and other quarterly / annual sales meetings (as required) at various locations.
  • This will include both domestic and international travel.

  • Must possess strong communications skills, in English, (75% speak, read and write).
  • Must live in or around the Mexico City or nearby of CDMX area as this will be your primary territory.
