The Expedia Local Expert line of business sells activities and services including theme park tickets, theatre shows, tours, attractions, experiences and ground transfers to consumers before they leave on their trips and / or while they are in destination.

You will be responsible for leading a team responsible for the account management, portfolio optimization including strategy implementation, and planning.

The Senior Destination Manager is responsible for improving revenues to achieve quarterly targets, driving implementation of internal business initiatives, and improving process efficiencies.

What you'll do :

  • Lead the development and execution of overall market business plans, and ensure Expedia has a long-term business strategy to deepen our position in the assigned market / territory
  • Lead, manage and develop a team to deliver targets
  • Secure and maintain attractive rates and inventory
  • Produce regular reports on partner activity, including weekly / monthly sales and margin reports and ad hoc analyses as needed
  • Attend industry trade shows as necessary to improve existing supplier relationships and develop promotional ideas
  • Help to identify, prioritize, and drive operational improvements, such as new categories of supply, improved ticket types, streamlined redemption and accounting processes, etc.
  • Evangelize the LX business to internal and external partners as a highly transparent and credible leader
  • Work directly with LX Commercial team to increase conversion rates and revenue in key destinations
  • Handle multiple challenging and shifting priorities across the portfolio of existing and potential business
  • Continually coach and provide standard methodologies and recommendations to direct and skip-level reports
  • Who you are :

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7 years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience and a consistent record of success negotiating, supplier and / or partner relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams successfully in a fast-paced team environment
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships, including negotiating agreements
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to design, prepare, and present business cases, financial reports, and strategic plans independently
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and to influence decision makers outside of her / his authority
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; including fundamental presentation skills and the demonstrated ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately influence others
  • Travel 25% + as needed to support business objectives.
  • E-commerce experience preferred
  • Travel industry experience preferrer
