  • Serves as a key risk manager for Risk Management responsible for engaging regularly with senior business leaders. Oversees global product risk managers whom are responsible for developing business infrastructure and strategy, evaluating product offerings, and overseeing business activities and product performance.
  • Builds relationships with both business and control function counterparts.

  • Establishes a coverage plan with each global product manager and define expectations, goals, and processes by which to monitor each employee’s coverage activities and become aware of and resolve escalated issues.
  • Prioritizes among multiple high-value initiatives and / or issue mitigation and drive to a resolution that considers stakeholder views while protecting the firm’s clients and franchise.
  • Communicates with regulators through business reviews and regular firm updates.
  • Evaluates trade / product ideas from covered businesses and develop an autonomous view regarding, product risks, and appropriate client distribution.
  • Utilizes these views to assess risk ratings, and develop product performance expectations. Conveys these views and investigates through both detailed product reports and discussions with management and approval committees.
  • Partners with counterparts in product management, legal, and compliance to achieve full, fair, clear and not-misleading disclosure.
  • Monitors and evaluates ongoing performance of products.
  • Identifies emerging issues facing the covered businesses, and then mobilize resources to assess the risk and offer potential mitigations and / or solutions.
  • Works alongside business partners to build / enhance business and governance processes.
  • Develops business and product reporting, evaluates the reports and appropriately escalates issues.
  • Works with business management to support a valued and client-centric culture.
  • Analyzes product positions / concentrations within and across accounts / businesses and identify existing or emerging risks.
  • Creates a view and deliver analytics and potential solutions to management.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the Company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Qualifications :

  • 15+ years relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of retail investment products and services, including : alternative investments (i.e. hedge funds, private equity / real estate), portfolio construction methodologies, and the broader capital markets (e.
  • g., structured notes, fixed income instruments) - Ability to create and maintain relationships with a diverse array of personalities occupying both junior and senior positions is a must.

  • Exceptional ethical and moral compass with the ability to make difficult decisions and communicate / document those decisions professionally.
  • Expert analytical skills including statistics and related factor analysis and stress testing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships quickly.
  • Demonstrated writing ability; to clearly and succinctly convey his / her analysis and views to an audience of senior managers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting; with demonstrated ability to manage and influence divergent views across a complex organization in the absence of direct authority.
  • Experience to drive tasks through to completion, with periodic guidance.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" without losing attention to detail. Takes pride of ownership in all deliverables and the activities of his / her team.
  • Flexibility in thought and approach; able to introduce creative solutions and enact reasonable judgment to complex issues that have no right’ answer.
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s / University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
