This is a sales support functional role. The position of a CVS Team Customer Analyst is a tactical role with strategic responsibility.

This position faces a wide range of challenges and responsibilities providing deliverables to the customer (CVS) and internally.

The Customer Analyst’s main responsibilities are to provide support to the Account Sales Team calling on CVS. This type of support includes ad hoc business analysis utilizing systems like Nielsen and RSi, systems updating including MWC internal systems and cVS systems, and financial reporting and analysis.

Understanding Mars business needs, the Customer Analyst will represent unique needs of CVS and will also help the sales team translate these needs to MWC internally.

Reporting to CVS Sales Director, this is part of the CVS Mars Wrigley Confectionery Team.

As the Customer Analyst, this role is a responsible for :

  • Updating CVS systems including item entry, contract entry, other financial entries
  • Manage inputting and reporting on MWC internal financial systems, budget management, promotional spend analysis (included deduction and post audit management with team and customer)
  • Guiding the interpretation, use, and implications of analyses to improve business decisions and solutions
  • Customizing analyses as appropriate for CVS and company
  • Responsibility for CVS daily GSV reporting and Period reporting (shipment reporting)
  • Analyst support for MWC internal IBP process each period, collecting inputs and rolling up for IBP call
  • Weekly and Period CVS consumption reporting
  • Assistant customer manager on snacks business to potentially own.
  • Excel Skills a must
  • Education & Professional Qualification

    Knowledge / Experience

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Min. 3 years CPG experience
  • Business analytics experience across multiple functions (CMI, Sales, Marketing) and / or channels
  • Minimum of 2 years of Syndicated data analysis experience (IRI or AC Nielsen; Scan, Panel, Spectra, etc.)
  • Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time)
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications with particular focus in Excel based skills to enable data manipulation (Excel, Access, PPT)
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2 years category management and / or marketing analysis experience across several categories and / or channels
  • 2 years customer facing experience as a category manager OR 2 years’ experience as a CMI manager
  • Experience leading and applying with broad range of analysis, e.g : price elasticity, promotional analysis,
