Role Summary :
FEA Engineer with knowledge on Finite Element Analysis. The position will be responsible for leading product structural analysis for Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP), Surface Pumping Systems (SPS), RodLift Systems (RLS / BPU) and other artificial lift systems used in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Eventually, this engineer could also support Application Engineering team in as needed basis.
Essential Responsibilities :
Include but are not limited to the following.
1.Lead structural analysis of Artificial Lift components in the O&G Industry.
2.Report Finite Element Analysis results based on strong analysis and synthesis skills
3.Interface with Global Team on product related issues.
4.Provide technical information / answers to field personnel questions inquiries, including Failure Analysis / RCA.
Qualifications / Requirements :
1.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, etc.) plus 3 year’s relevant experience using FEA software for the applications of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Higher level graduate studies in mechanical engineering a plus.
2.Experience in rotating equipment product support, pump or electric motor experience a plus.
3.Experience in products related to Oil & Gas Artificial Lift industry.
4.Prefer experience working in virtual team’ environment.
5.Ability to travel internationally
6.Experience / knowledge in design- analysis tools such as solid modeling CAD, or FEA, or CFD.
7.Experience in both ANSYS Mechanical APDL and Workbench.
8.Experience in modal, fatigue, thermal, mechanical and coupled FEA projects.
9.Strong knowledge on mechanics of materials.
10.Programming skills : VBA, C++, Java, Python.
11.Ability to create and debug ANSYS APDL macros.
12.Ability to respond to aggressive schedules.
In case of being a GEIQ employee, you must have previously occupied a position as an E1 or E2
Desired Characteristics :
1. Proficient in MS Office.
2. Strong communications skills written, analytical, negotiating and interpersonal are essential.
3. Strong team building and facilitation skills a plus
4. English level for fluent communication.
